PC §801 - COMMERCIAL DRIVERS LICENSE

Section 1: Definitions

  1. Commercial Driver’s License (CDL): A driver’s license required to operate a commercial vehicle, which includes trucks, buses, and other vehicles used for business purposes or for compensation.

  2. Commercial Vehicle: A motor vehicle used for transporting goods, passengers, or both, operated for business purposes or for compensation.

  3. Regulatory Authority: Any government agency or body responsible for overseeing the issuance, maintenance, and regulation of commercial driver’s licenses, including but not limited to the Department of Transportation (DOT) or similar entities.

  4. Violation: Any act or omission that breaches the rules, regulations, or conditions governing the issuance, holding, or use of a commercial driver’s license.
